タイトルとサブタイトルをどう区切るか？

いままで、英語論文ではなんとなく追加的なサブタイトルはダッシュで、より詳しく説明したい場合はコロンで区切ってきたけど、本当はどうなの？と思ったので調べてみた。本当は文法書などに書いてあるのだろうけどとりあえず孫引きで。

英語論文

英語論文の場合は"title: subtitle" か "title -- subtitle"（ただし、ダッシュはem-dash）とする。疑問符が付く場合は、"title? subtitle"

A subtitle should be separated using a colon or em dash (i.e., ― and not the shorter - en dash) and then a single space (i.e., Title: Subtitle OR Title ― Subtitle). If a subtitle follows a title that ends with a question mark, a colon should not follow the colon (i.e. Title? Subtitle NOT Title?: Subtitle)

To express time, in titles, and as part of other writing conventions. Colons appear in several standard or conventional places in writing. Here are a few examples:

MS Wordでのen-dash, em-dashの入力法

なお、ワードでenダッシュを入力するにはCtrl+テンキーの“-”、emダッシュはCtrl+Alt+テンキーの“-”で入力できます。

オートフォーマット機能がONになっていると自動でハイフンをen-dashやem-dashに変換してくれるとのこと。

LaTeXの場合ハイフン1つでハイフン、2つでen-dash、3つでem-dashとなる。en-dashとem-dash使い分けてなかった（全部en-dashだった）。

日本語論文

いくつかの学会の投稿規程にて参考文献の項で説明があった。「タイトル─サブタイトル」か「タイトル─サブタイトル─」の形が無難みたい。タイトルとサブタイトルは全角ダッシュでつなぐかサブタイトルを全角ダッシュで囲う。参考文献リストの場合は「タイトル─サブタイトル」の形式の方がスペースの観点から無難だと思う。
